Travel Guides to the Lipari Islands
A good travel guide is often the first step to a successful trip. For the Lipari Islands, there are now several solid and helpful titles – from compact travel info to detailed hiking guides. Whether you’re planning island hopping, looking for culinary tips, or simply want to know how to best climb Stromboli – a travel or hiking guide is a good starting point.
My recommendation: If you’re especially interested in hiking tours on Salina or Stromboli, the Barelds hiking guide is especially worthwhile. If you’re looking for a general overview, I recommend the guide from Michael Müller Verlag.

Children’s & Young Adult Books about the Lipari Islands
Whether as atmospheric vacation reading or as a lovely gift – books set on the Lipari Islands beautifully capture the special feeling of life on the islands. And even for children, there are imaginative books in which, for example, a curious cat or seven island girls play the leading roles – with lots of heart, humor, and a pinch of island longing.
Unfortunately, there aren’t many German children’s books specifically set on the Lipari Islands. I’ve added a few recommendations about volcanoes and Italy in general that are great for kids as travel preparation and also interesting on-site.
